We're moving!!!

Yay!!! What a stressful month and a half this has been, but it's all paid off!

At the end of September, they had told us there were six people in front of us. We were pretty bummed but were planning on just waiting it out until we could get in. She told us to call at the end of this month.

Leigh called them today to check on the status of our position on the waiting list. After being put on hold about three times, she told him that they have a unit for us!!! Not gonna lie, I cried. I have been so stressed with our current living situation lately and had pretty much resigned myself to having to be here another three months or so. Thank God that doesn't have to happen!

So, we can move in between the 20th and the 30th of November. As soon as we get the final inspection here and the NIPSCO switched over, we're gonna be outta here! Yay!!

We're still alive!

Yes, Mrs. R, we are still alive and well. We were without internet once we got back from our honeymoon.

Look what the jokers, called maintenance, did to the hallways in our complex:

Granted, it was purple before, but this mustard color is HIDEOUS.

Married life is good, we're having fun getting used to living together. Someone at work informed Leigh that he was gaining weight and that he now has a "pooch". She told him to let me know I need to stop making him food. Perhaps that's a good idea...let my husband starve...sounds compelling.

Nothing else new to report, really. If I think of something else, I'll let ya'll know.

Honeymoon!

Weeell...we're here. After a slight mixup with our original hotel, we ended up at a different, much nicer, much friendlier, hotel.

Leigh swears up and down that the airline stole his deodorant. He had a new stick and one stick that was almost gone. When we got to Nashville, they were missing. He got some from the hotel(which smelled like an old man) for temporary use. All day yesterday he stunk like an old dude so today I told him we HAD to get him some new deodorant. So, he's quite distraught at the airline stealing his deodorant.

Got my hair cut...it turned out awful...well, if it was what I wanted, it would be ok, but it's not even close to what I asked her to do. So, I'll be getting a modification once we get home.

We've been having fun...doing touristy things and spending TONS of money on taxis...ugh, it's ridiculous.

Us on the plane:

Our plane was the smallest plane I've ever seen. We were in the 13th row and my camera was NOT zoomed in. There were like maybe five rows behind us. It was TINY:

At the mall, there was a Gibson store...this is the front:

And, for some reason, they had a giant needle and thread in the middle of the mall:

There was a stingray pool in the mall. You could pay to feed them, but we just took pictures:

We went into the Gaylord Opryland hotel...it was amAzing. Here are some pictures of the atrium inside the hotel:

Oh...sad news...two things. The tattoo parlor said they couldn't do our tattoos...they said there's not enough room on our fingers...but it's been done, so I don't know...maybe we'll try somewhere else. Aaaand....*sniff* we didn't have time for me to go get my hair cut...I wanted to cry. :( Maybe I'll find somewhere in Nashville.
That's all for now...more to come!

Pffff...

Ugh! Two months before the wedding. TWO STINKIN' MONTHS and we suddenly have no florist. After three months of run arounds and unprofessional attitudes, we finally told her we would find someone else. Grr!

So, we have an appointment with another florist tomorrow. Hopefully it'll work out and we can put this behind us.

Everything else is pretty much done. Gotta finish tying the freakin' ribbons on the freakin' bubbles and I have to start packing up all my junk that I'm not using. Other than that, we're almost good to go! Hooray!!!!

Engagement Pictures!!!

Here is the link for the promised photos.

Pictage.com

Ok, now it's quite a few steps once you're there. On the home page, under "Find Your Event", type in either mine or Leigh's full name. Click on the event title that has our names on it...here's a hint, it's the only one. Fill in the spaces under "Sign the Guestbook" on the left. You won't be spammed by entering your email address, I promise. Anyhoo, after your personal info, under "Event Key", type in georgestreet. Then it will take you to the page where you can look at all the pretty pictures. Yay!

In other news, we're done buying the favors for our guests! Now I just gotta set up the appointment for my girls and I with the hairdresser and we'll be kosher. Hooray!
